The Center for Quantitative Genetics and Genomics (QGG) has a leading position in research related to breeding for climate related traits like methane emissions and feed efficiency in cattle. This is enabled by an ambitious farm based infrastructure with large scale measurement of methane emissions and feed intake on individual cows, as well as collaborations with industry and international researchers. The successful candidates for these positions will join our team for further advances in this area and either focus on defining a climate breeding objective or developing a climate index. The work on climate breeding goal includes calculating weights on traits related to climate impact and estimating their impact on genetic gain, whereas the work on climate index involves phenotype definit...

We are seeking candidates for a post-doctoral position within the field of correlated disorder in crystals. The position is for three years. In case further external funding is secured within the academic area which the candidates are assessed obviously qualified for, an extension is possible for up to a total maximum of four years of employment as a postdoc. The position has focus on measurement and modelling of diffuse scattering using X-rays, electrons and neutrons to establish local structure and correlated disorder in advanced materials and including ultrafast femtosecond science. The project involves software development, measurements using local and large international facilities, and a keen eye on developing relations between local order and material properties. The candidate must h...

Job descriptionThe Center for Quantitative Genetics and Genomics (QGG) has a leading position in research related to breeding for climate related traits like methane emissions and feed efficiency in cattle. This is enabled by a dedicated farm-based infrastructure with large-scale measurement of methane emissions and feed intake on individual cows, as well as collaborations with industry and international researchers. The ideal candidate for this position will join our team for further advances in this area. This includes integrating novel genetically related traits using digital tools or functional genomic information to improve genomic prediction models. The selected candidate will collaborate with industry partners, teach at undergraduate and graduate levels, and supervise Master's, PhD ...
