The job The job consists of operating the laser machines – either a Bystronic or Salvagnini machine. This means monitoring the programs and making sure that the machine runs smoothly and efficiently. You process the customer orders and make sure to cut the parts according to specification, quality measures and on time. You handle minor adjustments to the machine programs and you clean the lens and nozzles and carry out planned machine maintenance. You work both independently and in close cooperation with two or more colleagues in the sheet metal department.The working hours are 37 hours per week. The Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) has an open PhD position on the topic of “Automated machine polishing of complex mould geometries”.  The position is funded in the context of the project MADE React co-funded by the Innovation Fund Denmark.
