We are seeking an outstanding PhD candidate in the field of computational electrocatalysis. The PhD project aims to use state-of-the-art quantum simulation techniques, Density-Functional-Theory (DFT), Ab Initio Molecular Dynamics (AIMD), and Machine Learning (ML) tools to develop theoretical electrocatalytic frameworks. Hereby, the project will challenge existing research on catalysis, move the boundary of fundamental catalysis, and approach the next generation of selective renewable reactions. You will join the newly established Computational Catalysis group  led by Ass. Prof Alexander Bagger at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) located at the outskirts of Copenhagen. The Computational Catalysis group has a long-term goal to develop predictive models and schemes of new reactions a...

The section for Computational Atomic-scale Materials Design (CAMD) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated candidate for a PhD position within the area of electronic structure calculations and many-body theory with applications to functionalized 2D materials. The position is funded by the VILLUM Foundation and is part of a newly established Center on Data-Driven Science of 2D Materials. The successful candidate will develop and apply ab initio computational methods rooted in many-body perturbation theory to explore both excited states, response functions and ground states of various types of materials including twisted 2D heterostructures. In addition, the candidate will learn and apply Python based workflow software to perform high-thro...
